Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, has made fun of South Africans for intimidating model Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, who is linked with Nigeria, to keep her out of the Miss South Africa pageant.
His response follows the withdrawal of 23-year-old law student Chidnma Adetshina from the pageant due to controversy surrounding her nationality. Adetshina said her mother is a South African of Mozambican heritage and her father is Nigerian.

Chidinma's citizenship has been called into question by some South Africans, who took to social media to demand that she be disqualified from the pageant.
Following that, SA Home Affairs started looking into Chidinma's origins and found that Adetshina's mother "may have stolen" the identity of a "innocent" South African mother.

The new Miss South Africa is named Mia Le Roux. The Sun Bet Arena in Time Square in Menlyn, Pretoria hosted a ceremony where the model, who was born in the Free State, was crowned.

The first Miss SA winner who is deaf and wears a cochlear implant is Mia Le Roux. She will be the first competitor with this kind of impairment to compete in Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico.

She receives the Mowana crown, an opulent apartment that is completely equipped, a Mercedes Benz, R1 million, and various other awards as compensation for her term.

Burna Boy responded to the news by writing on X (Formally Twiiter), "So after all that," along with laughing emojis.

Chidimma Adetshina made her decision to not to take part in Saturday's championship match just one day after her mother was charged with fraud and identity theft by the Home Affairs ministry.

Adetshina, 23, posted on Instagram, saying, "After much careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to withdraw myself from the competition for the safety and wellbeing of my family and myself."

Reacting to the backlash Chidinma received, South African singer, Tyla said though she loves her country, however, she doesn't condone bullying. Her fellow countrymen who weren't having it, took to the comment section to drag the ‘Water’ singer.
